UHF’s Convener, Mr Kingsley Wali, offered the group’s position on Wednesday in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt.
The Unity House Foundation (UHF), a good governance advocacy group, says the open letter recently written by former president Olusegun Obasanjo to President Muhammadu Buhari was not in good taste.
Mr Kingsley Wali, UHF’s Convener, offered the group’s position on Wednesday in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt.
Wali, who noted that the former president had free access to Buhari to express his views, wondered why Obasanjo opted for an open letter.
“As the former President of this country, he has a free access to the President of this country. He should have explored that.
“If it becomes obvious that the President does not want to see him, then he can go public.
“Until then, he should have explored all opportunities of having a conversation with the President and the administration at the highest level of consultation.

Nintendo's gaming tech is often years behind the competition, and there's a good reason why
*The company isn't known for creating bleeding-edge hardware.
*There's a good reason for that, apparently: "We don't only chase trends in technology," Nintendo hardware lead Ko Shiota said in a recent investor Q&A . "We think about both how the technology will be applied to gameplay and what new experiences and gameplay we can offer consumers as a result of that application."
For years decades! Nintendo hasn't been in the business of chasing the best graphics.
The Japanese video game giant continues to put out game consoles and accessories, of course, but the company no longer competes in the horsepower race most directly embodied by Sony's PlayStation competing with Microsoft's Xbox.
Shiota went into more detail on how Nintendo chooses which technology to use in its products, and it offers a rare look into Nintendo's process.
"When considering what to offer in our entertainment and services, we think about both how the technology will be applied to gameplay and what new experiences and gameplay we can offer consumers as a result of that application," Shiota said. "It's difficult to use even an outstanding technology if the cost is too high, so we will continue to also thoroughly investigate the cost of new technologies."

5 most anticipated phones in 2019
1. iphone 11
We expect to see successors to the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR around the same annual September target that Apple prefers.
Concept renders based on purportedly leaked CAD data showcase three large back camera sensors in a huge-looking module, and while initial representations looked awkward, the more recent renders (like the OnLeaks/CashKaro one above) are a bit more appealing. Both the iPhone XS and XS Max follow-ups are expected to have three back cameras, with the iPhone XR successor expected to have two back cameras. They're rumoured to pack in a nighttime shooting mode akin to Google's Night Sight on the Pixel 3.

Labour plans nationwide strike over minimum wage delay
The organised labour have alerted Nigerians that plans were underway to embark on industrial action if the current state of affairs as regards the issue of consequential adjustment arising from the new national Minimum wage of N30,000 per month remains the same.
It is operating under the aegis of the Trade Union Side (TUS) of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council (JNPSNC); the eight Unions in the Public Services of the Federal and 36 State Governments.
In a press statement in Abuja on Monday, the TUS Acting Chairman, Mr Anchaver Simon, and the Secretary, Mr Alade Lawal, expressed disappointment by government’s effort to derail the implementation of a new National Minimum Wage.
“As things are right now, the government side is only prepared to pay peanuts to workers as adjustment under the pretext that it will soon be undertaking general salary review in the Public Service.”
Controversy over Buhari's Ruga settlements
The Buhari-led government believes the Ruga settlements will solve the attendant problems of open grazing, but doubts persist.
A new plan by President Muhammadu Buhari to build Ruga settlements in some states in Nigeria has met with stiff opposition and considerable outrage from the public.
The presidency released a statement on Sunday, June 30, 2019 to assure the public that constructing Ruga settlements will stop roaming of cattle herders with the attendant clashes with farmers.
For years, nomadic herders have clashed with local farming communities over the access and control of lands. The wave of killings associated with this conflict skyrocketed last year with around 2,000 deaths recorded.
A majority of the attacks were blamed on the roaming herders, tagged invaders, who are usually, but not exclusively, of the Fulani extraction.
Even though the conflict predates Buhari, who was first inaugurated in 2015, his administration has received overwhelming flak as it's widely believed that the situation has worsened because the president is showing favour to the herders as a result of sharing ethnicity with them.
On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohammed Umar, announced the commencement of Ruga settlements as a measure to end the conflict.

The problem with over-using words of endearment with people you are not dating
How wise is it for partners to use sweet endearing words with other people?
Just the other day I had to get some outsiders opinion on something and for this purpose, a friend links me up with one sweet-sounding babe like that.
So I call this lady and ask her few questions. By the time I was ending the call after eight minutes or thereabouts, I naturally thank her for being helpful.
She responds in her tender, almost-seductive voice. "You're welcome, dearie," she says, and as innocent and harmless as that might sound, it really had me triggered.
